Can an AI assistant move my money?

Accepted Answer

No. An assistant can read your organisation's data and prepare a payment, but it can never send one. Every payment it prepares waits in the portal for a person to review and accept it.

Can I tell the assistant an IBAN or wallet address to pay?

Accepted Answer

No. An assistant never takes a free-text account number, IBAN or wallet address typed into a chat. It can only address counterparties you have already created and verified in Skyline, by their id.

Who can turn this on?

An organisation admin, at Settings → AI access. Nothing is connected until someone opts in there.

How do I stop an assistant?

Accepted Answer

You can revoke a single connection, which disconnects that assistant immediately. The person who connected it can reconnect it while AI assistant access is on, so switching AI assistant access off is the organisation-wide stop. Skyline can also disable access from its side, and you will see the reason in the portal.

How do I know something was prepared by an assistant?

Transactions and destinations prepared this way carry a "staged by an AI agent" badge and provenance showing which assistant staged them. Any note the agent supplies is shown as untrusted text that Skyline has not verified.

Where does my data go when I use an assistant?

Accepted Answer

Skyline sends your data only to the assistant you connected. From there it is handled by that assistant's vendor — Anthropic, in the case of Claude — under their own privacy and retention terms for your plan, so check the vendor's policy if that matters to you. On the Skyline side, work the assistant prepares is recorded against your organisation with provenance showing which assistant staged it.

Can I trust what the assistant tells me?

It reads your real data, but it can still summarise it wrongly or leave something out. Treat what it says as a starting point and check anything that matters against the portal before you act on it. What it cannot do is move money: that limit is enforced by Skyline, not by the assistant being careful.

Is it safe to use with my other AI tools?

Accepted Answer

Do not run this connector alongside untrusted MCP servers. A prompt-injection payload hidden in third-party content — a web page, an email, a PDF — can steer any assistant that reads it, so keep this connection to assistants whose other tools and data sources you trust.
