AI Assistant

AI Assistant (MCP)

Connect an AI assistant to your Skyline organisation — it can prepare work, but you always accept it

Currently in beta. AI assistant access is being rolled out to selected organisations. If you do not see Settings → AI access in the portal, it is not yet available for your organisation — talk to your Skyline contact and we will let you know when it is.

What it is

An organisation admin can connect an AI assistant, such as Claude, to your Skyline organisation. Once connected, the assistant can read your organisation's data and prepare payments and destinations for you.

It can never send money. Every payment an assistant prepares waits in the portal for a person to review and accept it. You commit, not the assistant.

What it cannot do

  • It never takes a free-text account number, IBAN or wallet address typed into a chat. It can only address counterparties you have already created and verified in Skyline, by their id.
  • It cannot complete or accept a transaction. Only a person can do that, in the portal.
  • It cannot widen its own access or grant itself new permissions.

Turning it on and off

An organisation admin opts in at Settings → AI access. Nothing is connected until someone turns it on.

Revoking a connection disconnects that single assistant immediately. However, the person who connected it can reconnect it while AI assistant access is on — turning access off is the organisation-wide stop.

Skyline can also disable AI assistant access for your organisation from its side. When that happens, the reason is shown to you in the portal.

What you will see

Transactions and destinations prepared this way carry a "staged by an AI agent" badge, together with provenance showing which assistant staged them.

Any note the agent supplies is displayed as untrusted text that Skyline has not verified. Read it as a hint about what the assistant intended, never as a fact Skyline stands behind.

Staying safe

Do not run this connector alongside untrusted MCP servers. A prompt-injection payload hidden in third-party content — a web page, an email, a PDF — can steer any assistant that reads it.

Keep this connection to assistants whose other tools and data sources you trust.
