On-chain Companies (Otoco)

What does the onboarding process look like for On-chain Companies?

The onboarding process for On-chain Companies has 5 simple steps:

  1. Sign up to Skyline Digital through OtoCo’s dashboard integration.

  2. Follow the onboarding flow to complete your KYB, which includes a dedicated section for on-chain companies and a short video identification check for the manage.

  3. Respond by email/telegram to additional information requests by Skyline’s compliance team, if any.

  4. Perform an ownership test of the wallet address that controls the on-chain company

  5. Receive an approval email from Skyline and log into your account to execute your transaction.

What information will I be required to provide during the process?

You’ll be asked to provide the following information:

  • Identification:

    • Company: Series Operating Agreement.

    • Related parties: ddeclaration on the managers and ultimate beneficial owners (persons or entities that own 25% of the voting rights or capital shares in the company). Right after, each related person will be required to provide their full name, date of birth, residential address, nationality, contact details (email, phone number), and a valid passport (no driver’s license).

  • Proof of Address: utility bills, official correspondence, or bank statements (needs to show the company’s full name and address and be no older than 3 months).

  • Business Information: simple questionnaire regarding the reason for opening the account, the business, and source of wealth/funds.

  • Web3 wallet whitelisting: indication of the wallet you will use for Skyline’s services.

How can I prove ownership of the wallet address that created, owns, and controls the company?

Message signing can be done easily with Etherscan’s “Verify New Message Signature” feature. Skyline’s compliance team will guide you through the process:

  1. Receive Skyline’s compliance team message with a verification code.

  2. Go to the Verify New Message Signature tool.

  3. Provide the Ethereum address you would like to sign with. Please note this should be the address that controls the company.

  4. Input the code provided by Skyline on the message box.

  5. Your wallet will be prompted. Click “sign message”.

  6. After the legend “Message has been successfully signed”, click “publish”.

  7. Copy the URL and transaction hash, and share it with Skyline’s compliance team.

What should I expect from the mandatory Live Video Interview?

As a Swiss-regulated company, we are mandated to perform live video interviews with the person(s) representing the company. This is the last step of the onboarding process, and it is performed by independent operators.

Please take the following precautions to ensure a smooth video identification process:

  • Be alone in the room and do not talk to anyone else during the process.

  • Have your passport ready.
